Multicultural English Classes

We believe that the process of becoming more aware of and better understanding one’s own culture and other cultures around the world is an essential part of education. The aim of intercultural learning is to increase international and cross-cultural tolerance and understanding.

Intercultural communicative competence is an attempt to raise students’ awareness of their own culture, and in so doing, help them to interpret and understand other cultures. It is not just a body of knowledge, but a set of practices requiring knowledge, skills and attitudes.

This is why we usually use multiple references to different cultures and countries in our classes through songs, videos, games and other activities related to multicultural topics. Sometimes we focus our attention on native English speaking countries, but the fact is that we love to learn how people -and especially children!- live all around the world.
